Authority
Does your appearance reflect the level at which you operate?
Visual Authority Assessment
A strategic assessment for people whose businesses depend on visibility.
Request a conversationWhen you lead a company, speak publicly, meet with investors or clients, appear in the media, or represent important ideas, your appearance is already communicating something. The question is whether it reflects what you intend.
Most accomplished people have built their careers by concentrating on their work, not by studying what their clothing communicates. Over time, a wardrobe can become a collection of acceptable choices rather than a clear expression of the person wearing it.
The issue is not whether you look presentable. It is whether your appearance communicates your authority, relevance, distinction, and point of view with the same strength as your work.
What the assessment examines
Does your appearance reflect the level at which you operate?
Is there something specific and recognizable about your professional presence?
Does your appearance feel current and connected to where your work is going?
Do you communicate the same credibility across meetings, conferences, media appearances, and travel?
Do clothing decisions still consume time and attention they no longer deserve?
What you receive
We begin with a detailed questionnaire and conversation about your role, audiences, visibility demands, professional environments, and what you want your presence to communicate. Anne then reviews representative professional photographs, video appearances, your website, LinkedIn presence, and the wardrobe you use for your most important settings.
You receive a written assessment of what your current appearance is communicating, what is already supporting you, where your visual presence and professional authority are out of alignment, and which opportunities have the greatest potential impact.
Your report establishes a direction for how you should present yourself going forward, including silhouette, proportion, color, formality, visual signatures, variety, and consistency across professional settings.
You receive a practical sequence of what to address first, what can wait, what needs to be developed, and what should be managed differently. We then meet by Zoom to review the assessment and discuss how the strategy can work in your actual life.
Strategy comes before more clothing
The Visual Authority Assessment is not a closet edit, shopping session, seasonal wardrobe update, or prescribed outfit list. It gives you direction before you buy more, hire someone to shop, or attempt to solve the problem one event at a time.
The assessment stands on its own. If you want support implementing the strategy, that work can continue through a separate advisory engagement.
All photographs, materials, and information provided for the assessment are treated as confidential and are never shared.
Who this is for
The Visual Authority Assessment is designed for founders, senior leaders, investors, speakers, authors, advisers, and others whose visibility has increased, whose role has changed, or whose appearance has not kept pace with their professional growth.
For 19 years, Anne has helped people identify the disconnect between who they are, how they need to function, and what their appearance is communicating. Her work is not based on trends or a prescribed professional uniform. It is based on understanding the individual, recognizing the visual signals other people receive, and establishing a wardrobe strategy that supports the authority, relevance, and distinction their work requires.
Your appearance should not be an unanswered question
